Founded in 2001 by Keith Williams and Richard Brown , Keith Williams Architects is by reputation one of the UK’s leading architectural design practices with a body of work which incorporates a series of exceptional high profile award winning sustainable projects for clients in both the private and public sectors.
Based in London, the multi-award winning firm works in the UK and internationally across a broad range of projects including cultural, residential, mixed-use, one off private houses, and commercial buildings as well as undertaking urban design, place making and city masterplanning. Keith Williams Architects is particularly noted as a leading specialist architect for museum, art gallery, library, civic, theatre, opera, music and performing arts buildings.
Recipient of over 40 major design and construction awards, Keith Williams Architects inter alia was shortlisted for the 2017 RIAI Triennial Gold Medal, has twice been nominated for the Stirling Prize, twice won the BD Public Building Architect of the Year Award, twice recipient of the Chicago Athenaeum Prize as well as having been awarded multiple RIBA, Civic Trust and RIAI awards.
The firm’s work whilst centred chiefly in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, has encompassed design projects in Austria, Canada, Denmark, Dubai, France, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Norway, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sweden and Switzerland reflecting its founder’s belief that architecture is a truly international pursuit.
Based in the company’s London studio, Keith Williams as founder and director of design, personally initiates and oversees the design of all the firm’s projects, with the support of fellow director, Richard Brown, and key architectural staff. Each new project is developed in close consultation with the firm’s clients, ensuring that our buildings are as closely tailored to client need, and to the highest possible quality that project budgets can provide.
The architectural team places great emphasis on effective project management, co-ordination and cost control and has undertaken projects with values from £1 million to £300+ million.
